“Learning to Do, Doing to Learn, Earning to Live, Living to Serve”
FFA is a national organization that was once known as the Future Farmers of America and is now referred to as The National FFA Organization. Along with this new name comes the possibility of a wider variety of opportunities and careers. Many necessary resources for these careers and opportunities can be obtained through agricultural educational classes, supervised experience programs, and activities and events sponsored by the FFA. Through active participation students can gain skills in their chosen career, grow as a person, and develop new leadership skills that will help them throughout their life.
The 2017-2018 Anamosa FFA Chapter Program of Activities is designed to inform the students of the activities and events that will take place throughout the year for the Anamosa High School Agricultural Education Program. Many local, district, state, and national activities allow the students to find a way to have fun, meet new people, and to develop their natural abilities. As a FFA member, the students have the opportunity to excel and take advantage of new and rewarding events while also setting personal goals. FFA encourages the students to take advantage of the many opportunities available to them and to be recognized for their efforts and accomplishments in those areas.
With willingness from the members, leadership from the officer team and committee chairpersons, and advice from the advisor, members can have a very rewarding and successful year.
The FFA Mission
FFA makes a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education.
