LICENSED EMPLOYEE – FAMILY ILLNESS LEAVE
Purpose: To provide family illness leave to licensed employee.
Policy: Licensed Employee shall be granted not more than ten (10) days per year leave of absence with full pay for absence due to the serious illness of a member of the employee’s immediate family. Such leave shall be deducted from the employee’s sick leave. “Immediate family” shall be construed to include: parent, surrogate parent, child, surrogate child, spouse, brother, sister, mother-in-law, father-in-law, daughter-in-law, son-in-law, or any person who is a member of the employee’s household.
The requirements stated in the Master Contract between employees in the certified collective bargaining unit and the board regarding family illness leave of such employees will be followed.
