FOREIGN EXCHANGE STUDENTS
Purpose: To provide guidelines for and encourage the enrollment in the District of foreign
students.
Policy: Qualified foreign students may be enrolled and attend school without charge if they are
sponsored by a recognized student exchange agency, or an approved local organization or
family, and reside within the boundaries of this District. Foreign Exchange students who enroll
in our District, but reside in another District will be considered under open enrollment.
There will be no more than five (5) foreign exchange students to attend Anamosa High School in
one school year. Foreign exchange students that are residing with families in Olin School
District must have the approval from Anamosa before attending Anamosa High School.
Anamosa students attending school in another country must get prior approval for credit
acceptance earned in another country and transferred to Anamosa High School.
