How long have you been in the district? 19 years
What is your favorite part about your job? Students! I enjoy getting to know our students and sharing life with them. We have the best students at AHS and they are worth getting to know.
What do you like best about the Anamosa Community? This is home for me. I graduated form Anamosa in 1989 and it is nice to give back a little bit to the community that raised me. My wife and I have raised 2 boys here and they were involved in a lot of different things. It is and was great to raise children in a small community.
Tell us a little about yourself: In the Summer I travel with Hope 2 and we serve in Liberia. We have build a school in the Marshall area and have students attending up to the fourth grade this year. We used to go and read to the children in the surrounding villages and now they read to us. I work with our teachers in Liberia doing Professional Development. When we are there, we also travel into villages and provide them with a way to have clean drinking water. When you are in a fourth world country it really puts into prospective how fortunate we really are in America.
